Scientific Drawings
These drawings and sketches were commissioned for a field guide of North American woody trees and shrubs by the late Dr. James L. Fralish of the Southern Illinois University. I spent many months staring through a microscope at dried plant bits that had been painstakingly labeled & glued to paper more than a century prior, as well as trompling through my local parks for fresh samples. It was an absolute delight. :)
All of the finals were created with rapidograph on Bristol board, 7” X 5.5”.
